If you want to heat or generate sustainably, you don't always have to bear the full cost yourself. Which schemes exist differs per product. Below are the main lines for 2026. Amounts and conditions can change, so always check the current situation before you decide.
Heat pump: ISDE subsidy
For heat pumps there is the national ISDE subsidy, run by RVO.nl. Both hybrid and all-electric heat pumps qualify, provided the unit meets the requirements. You apply after installation, with the quote and invoice attached. The amount depends on the type and capacity of the unit and is set by RVO.nl. Read more about the process on our page about subsidy and costs.
A heat pump falls under the standard VAT rate of 21%.
Solar panels: 0% VAT
Since 2023 a VAT rate of 0% applies to the supply and installation of solar panels on or near a home. That still applies in 2026. Your installer charges 0% VAT directly, so you don't need to claim anything back. You don't need a separate ISDE subsidy to benefit from this.

Request a quoteHome battery: no national subsidy
There is no national ISDE subsidy for a home battery. Some provinces and municipalities do have their own schemes. See our article on the home battery after net metering for when a battery pays off.
Financing with a loan
If you want to spread the investment, look at the Nationaal Warmtefonds, which offers loans for making your home more sustainable. Conditions and interest differ per situation and period.
