A hybrid heat pump is an electric heat pump installed alongside your existing central-heating boiler. The heat pump handles heating under normal conditions, drawing warmth from the outside air, while the gas boiler automatically takes over during peak demand or very cold spells. The result is a large reduction in gas consumption without replacing your entire heating system.
Because the existing boiler, radiators and pipework generally stay in place, installation is typically far less invasive than a full all-electric conversion — which is why it's the option most homeowners in our region choose first.
